{"id":16278,"date":"2014-07-11T18:30:12","date_gmt":"2014-07-11T18:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/actualidad\/cudeca-gala-dinner-2014\/"},"modified":"2014-07-11T18:30:12","modified_gmt":"2014-07-11T18:30:12","slug":"cudeca-gala-dinner-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/actualidad\/cudeca-gala-dinner-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Cudeca Gala Dinner 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"notCuerpo\">\n<div>  On <strong>11th July<\/strong>, <strong>Cudeca Hospice <\/strong>celebrated their<strong> 8th Gala Dinner at Restaurant Jos\u00e9 Carlos Garc\u00eda <\/strong>which is situated at the Pier N\u00ba 1 of M\u00e1laga port.\u00a0 The dinner was held to raise funds for <strong>Cudeca Hospice\u00a0<\/strong>to help them continue adding life to days to their patients who are suffering from diseases in an advanced stage and without the possibility of cure, and totally without cost.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The total raised through those who attended, the raffle, and donations was<strong> \u20ac18,000<\/strong>.\u00a0 This special event had the presence of authorities such as <strong>Daniel P\u00e9rez, Delegate of Health Junta de Andalucia in M\u00e1laga; Paco Pomares, Councillor for Participaci\u00f3n Ciudadana at M\u00e1laga Town Hall; Ana Carmen Mata and Inmaculada Arag\u00f3n, representing the Presidency and Participaci\u00f3n Ciudadana of the Diputaci\u00f3n of M\u00e1laga<\/strong>.\u00a0 The<strong> ambassadors for Cudeca Foundation<\/strong>, <strong>Remedios Cervantes <\/strong>and <strong>Domi del Postigo, <\/strong>hosted the evening where around <strong>200 business people <\/strong>gathered representing <strong>M\u00e1laga and International companies<\/strong> <strong>like CIPLA, Todocristal, Bodegas El Pimpi, Grupo Ordo\u00f1ez, Hospital Vithas Xanit International, Ray Just Energy, Unicaja Obra Social, the Colegio Oficial de Enfermer\u00eda, Segurisur, Pinturas Andaluc\u00eda, racing team \u00c1lvaro Fontes, DN Records and many more.<\/strong><br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  At pre dinner cocktails, to the sound of jazz group <strong>Los Negroides<\/strong>, <strong>racing driver \u00c1lvaro Fontes <\/strong>arrived in his <strong>Porsche<\/strong> racing car which had the Cudeca logo embossed on it.\u00a0\u00a0 The \u201cjam\u00f3n serrano\u201d was cut by the best cutter in Spain, courtesy of <strong>Bodegas El Pimpi<\/strong>.\u00a0 Dinner followed, which was presided by <strong>Joan Hunt, O.B.E., \u00a0Founder and Honorary President, with other trustees, together with Dra. Marisa Mart\u00edn, Rafael Olalla and Susan Hannam from Cudeca Foundation.<\/strong><br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  After dinner, the traditional raffle was held with magnificent prizes donated by companies and banks, such as Unicaja Obra Social, Bellsol, Bestead Rest, Bodegas El Pimpi, Fundaci\u00f3n M\u00e1laga, Pinturas Andalucia, Optica 2000, Grupo Suite, Hotel Don Carlos, Reserva del Higuer\u00f3n, Diario Sur, Club de Golf La Zagaleta, Club de Golf Miraflores, Restaurante Molino del Santo, Shanti-som and Birdies Vinoteca and others.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The top raffle prizes were:<br \/>  A <strong>window system valued at \u20ac6,000, donated by Todocristal \u2013 Allglass.<\/strong>\u00a0 The prize was given to the winner, <strong>M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Alarc\u00f3n Linares<\/strong>, by founder and Director of the company, Sonsoles Jim\u00e9nez.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  A complete medical check up donated by <strong>Hospital Vithas Xanit Internacional<\/strong>, <strong>valued at \u20ac1,000<\/strong>.\u00a0 This prize was given to the winner, <strong>Carolina Recio<\/strong>, by Director Mercedes Mengibar.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The highlight of the evening was when a<strong> watch<\/strong>, valued at <strong>\u20ac<strong>5<\/strong>,400, donated by Joyer\u00eda Aurelio Marcos <\/strong>was raffled.\u00a0 The winner, <strong>Dr. Manuel Cobo<\/strong>, oncologist at Xanit Hospital, donated his prize, which was presented to him by Esther Ruiz, Director of Communications (Joyer\u00eda Aurelio Marcos), to be auctioned by Remedios Cervantes, who managed to reach a <strong>magnificent closing bid of \u20ac2,500<\/strong>.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  <strong>Cudeca Foundation <\/strong>gives heartfelt thanks to <strong>Jos\u00e9 Carlos Garc\u00eda <\/strong>and his team and all those who attended the gala, whose generosity will go towards ensuring that the palliative care given by Cudeca Hospice continues to be a reality.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  \u00a0<\/div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 11th July, Cudeca Hospice celebrated their 8th Gala Dinner at Restaurant Jos\u00e9 Carlos Garc\u00eda which is situated at the Pier N\u00ba 1 of M\u00e1laga port.\u00a0 The dinner was held to raise funds for Cudeca Hospice\u00a0to help them continue adding life to days to their patients who are suffering from diseases in an advanced stage [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[15],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.4 -
