{"id":16258,"date":"2014-04-04T18:24:33","date_gmt":"2014-04-04T18:24:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/actualidad\/cudeca-annual-results-presentation\/"},"modified":"2014-04-04T18:24:33","modified_gmt":"2014-04-04T18:24:33","slug":"cudeca-annual-results-presentation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/actualidad\/cudeca-annual-results-presentation\/","title":{"rendered":"Cudeca Annual Results Presentation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"notCuerpo\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>CUDECA Foundation<\/strong> held their <strong>Annual Results Presentation for 2013<\/strong> today at the Hospice Centre situated in Benalm\u00e1dena.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  Various clubs, associations, friends and supporters attended the presentation at which the Foundation President , <strong>Joan Hunt,<\/strong> announced the succession to <strong>Ricardo Urdiales<\/strong>, a key and unconditional supporter of Joan Hunt since the beginning of Cudeca in 1992. Also, following the resignation of Vice President, Dr. Leon Pecasse, <strong>Susan Hannam<\/strong>, ex-Director of Nursing was announced as the new Vice President.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">  <strong>Dra. Marisa Martin<\/strong>, Cudeca Hospice\u00b4s CEO and Medical Director, explained in detail the results obtained from the different Care Programmes, Home Care , Day Care, In-Patient Unit, Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Programme, consulting and support and information on line. The results have been very positive, with 810 patients cared for and more than 1300 families served, both in their homes and in the Hospice Centre with patient follow-up every 3 days through visits and phone performed by professional teams. All assistance provided to patients and their families is free thanks to the continued support of the community and of the more than 600 volunteers. \u00a0Also detailed were the educational activities carried out by Cudeca to public health professionals and students of the University of M\u00e1laga, among others.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Rafael Olalla<\/strong>, our Chief Financial Officer, appointed that the good economic performance of 2013 was mainly due to a pay cut agreed with the employees which reduced the deficit by 8 % to 2.8 M. \u20ac. \u00a0All this without reducing care services. Profits show a positive trend.\u00a0 Especially good were inheritances and estate sales , thanks to a price cut agreed by the Board earlier in the year. The result is a positive surplus of over \u20ac 400,000. \u00a0Inheritances are an\u00a0 unpredictable income, and without them in 2013 Cudeca would have had losses of 277,000\u20ac.
