This service operates from 9.30 am to 10 am and from 1pm to 1.30 pm. The volunteer would have to use their own vehicle to pick up patients from their home, bring them to the Cudeca Hospice Centre and take them back home.\u00a0 At the moment, our greatest need for volunteers is in the Malaga area.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>At times, the volunteer may also be asked to accompany patients to different medical \u00a0appointments.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Volunteers undergo specific training \u00a0which will help them in their duties. \u00a0Different aspects of palliative care are dealt with as well as communication, information and mobilization of patients.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>If you wish to help someone who needs our special kind of caring, please contact our Volunteers\u2019 Department on 952 56 49 10 or by email <a href=\"mailto:voluntariado@cudeca.org\">voluntariado@cudeca.org<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Benalm\u00e1dena, 15 \/01\/ 2014 \u00a0 \u00a0 Cudeca Hospice urgently requires volunteers who can pick up patients from their home and bring them to the Day Care Unit. \u00a0 This particular volunteer activity makes it possible for our Day Care Unit patients to benefit from the specialised therapies offered by the unit.
