{"id":16218,"date":"2013-10-11T18:18:22","date_gmt":"2013-10-11T18:18:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/actualidad\/la-cala-de-mijas-lions-always-with-cudeca-hospice\/"},"modified":"2013-10-11T18:18:22","modified_gmt":"2013-10-11T18:18:22","slug":"la-cala-de-mijas-lions-always-with-cudeca-hospice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/la-cala-de-mijas-lions-always-with-cudeca-hospice\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]La Cala de Mijas Lions Always with Cudeca Hospice[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:en]<\/p>\n<div id=\"notCuerpo\">\n<div>\n<div>  \t\tToday, the President of the Mijas La Cala Lions, Patricia Maxwell, along with members Sue and Harry Rice, visited the Cudeca Centre in Benalm\u00e1dena to present the Hospice with a generous donation.<\/div>\n<div>  \t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>  \t\tThe Club held a President\u2019s Party Night in aid of Cudeca Hospice on 21st September at the Restaurant Mijas Playa in La Cala de Mijas and thanks to a charity raffle, auction and party games, a total of \u20ac2,000 was raised on the night but the club members decided to donate another 500\u20ac, bringing the total to \u20ac2,500!<\/div>\n<p>  \tOn behalf of Cudeca Hospice, Susan Hannam, member of the Board of Trustees and Roc\u00edo Torres, Manager of the Communications and Fundraising department were delighted to receive these funds which will help the Hospice continue providing the Special Kind of Caring to patients suffering from cancer and other advanced and non-curable illnesses, apart from providing support to their families.  \t<\/p>\n<div>  \t\tThe Mijas La Cala Lions have supported Cudeca for many years and believe that it is truly a cause that lies close to the heart of anyone, who has lost a loved one to cancer.
