{"id":15996,"date":"2010-07-29T17:30:28","date_gmt":"2010-07-29T17:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/actualidad\/mlaga-football-club-visits-the-cudeca-hospice\/"},"modified":"2010-07-29T17:30:28","modified_gmt":"2010-07-29T17:30:28","slug":"mlaga-football-club-visits-the-cudeca-hospice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/actualidad\/mlaga-football-club-visits-the-cudeca-hospice\/","title":{"rendered":"M&#193;LAGA FOOTBALL CLUB VISITS THE CUDECA HOSPICE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"notCuerpo\">\n<div>  \t<strong>Benalm\u00e1dena (M\u00e1laga), 27th July 2010<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>  \tTo mark the donation received yesterday at a press conference coinciding with his new position today as the Vice President of M\u00e1laga C.F., Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice had the pleasure of receiving Abdullah Ghubn at the Hospice Centre located in Benalm\u00e1dena.<\/div>\n<div>  \tMr. Ghubn who is also the General Director of NAS Group, the new company owner of M\u00e1laga Football Club, accompanied by Victor Varela, the Football Club Press Officer, wanted to confirm his interest and commitment to the Cudeca project.<\/div>\n<div>  \t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>  \tDuring the visit, our guests had the opportunity to view at first hand, the work and care carried out in the Hospice Centre and were informed of the multidisciplinary programs available; Home Care, In-Patient Unit, Day Care Centre, Rehabilitation, and Psycho-social care.<\/div>\n<div>  \t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>  \tYesterday, Mr Ghubn, announced his intention of purchasing all the tickets printed and then to re-sell them for the Football match between Malaga C.F. and Hamilton Academical F.C. taking place on 28th July at 21:00 hours in the Polideportivo Municipal de Arroyo de la Miel (Avenida Salvador Vicente) thanks to the Club Atl\u00e9tico Benamiel, the collaboration of the Benalm\u00e1dena Town Hall and its sports activities council.<\/p>\n<p>  \tThe President and Founder of Cudeca, Joan Hunt, Chief Executive and Medical Director Marisa Martin, Deputy Chief Executive and Financial Director, Rafael Olalla and Communications and Fundraising manager, Roc\u00edo Torres, received a cheque for 12,500\u20ac from Abdullah Ghubn, who expressed his desire to continue supporting the Cudeca Hospice in the future.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>  \t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>  \tEach year, Cudeca cares for nearly 600 people suffering with advanced cancer in M\u00e1laga and are treated with the \u201cSpecial Kind of Caring\u201d Cudeca offers the patient and family thanks to its professional team of physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses and volunteers.
