Benalm\u00e1dena (M\u00e1laga), 3rd June 2009.- On Saturday 27th June, the Spanish radio station \u201cLos 40 Principales\u201d celebrated it\u2019s 25th anniversary in M\u00e1laga and Andalucia by putting on a massive concert \u201cCosta Pop 2009\u201d in aid of Cudeca, in the Municipal Audit\u00f3rium of M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n

Renowned national and international artists took part in the concert: Katy Perry, Nena Daconte, Efecto Mariposa, Danza Invisible, Taxi, Lucas Marciano, Macaco, Conchita, Manuel Carrasco, Sidonie and Nek. Each artist recorded a message for Cudeca with Roc\u00edo Torres, Manager of the Cudeca PR and Fundraising department along with Camera man, Mr. Antonio Bel\u00f3n (www.abelon.tv<\/a>) which can be viewed on the Cudeca website at www.cudeca.org.<\/p>\n

The concert commenced with the final of the Costa Pop Express talent competition: El Beso de Wendy, Musho, The Tragic Company y Cerebro Enano. Following a few acts by each band, the winner was chosen being The Tragic Company, who will be entitled to a production of a CD with five of their hits.<\/p>\n

Each year, hundreds of people who suffer from advanced cancer, need the \u201cspecial kind of caring\u201d Cudeca offers to the patient and family thanks to its professional team of doctors, Physiologists, Nurses and Volunteers. All the care provided is totally cost-free and offered throughout the M\u00e1laga province. All the support we receive from the community is always welcome and necessary to sustain this project created 17 years ago by Joan Hunt and a group of volunteers and professionals.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Los 40 Principales, the artists, the community of M\u00e1laga, Cudeca\u2019s volunteers and the following sponsors: Unicaja, Costa del Sol M\u00e1laga, \u00c1rea de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de M\u00e1laga, RENFE, Metro M\u00e1laga, Coca-Cola, Cruzcampo, Ron Legendario, Worten, Centro Comercial Rinc\u00f3n de la Victoria, Ford Garum Motor, 2016 M\u00e1laga Cuidad Europea de la Cultura y Grupo Espect\u00e1culos Mundo, Cudeca can continue to add life to days of patients who suffer from advanced cancer and care to their families all over the province of M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n

In the near future, Los 40 Principales will be organising a Press Conference to hand over a cheque for the final amount raised from the concert to Cudeca.<\/p>\n
