The official presentation of the REM.fm Telethon cheque took place on Monday 28th<\/sup> January in the training room at the Cudeca Hospice, Benalm\u00e1dena.\u00a0 <\/span>This radio auction held on 14th<\/sup> December, which has been running for three years, raised a magnificent 70,000 Euros which is the largest amount ever raised for Cudeca in a single event. \u00a0<\/span><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Maurice Boland, Honorary Patron of Cudeca and Director of REM.fm, presented the cheque to Joan Hunt OBE, President and Founder. Maurice has been raising money for Cudeca since 1999 when he started his ?raise the roof? bringing in over the years, an impressive total of 627.000 Euros.\u00a0 <\/span>During the presentation, Maurice promised that he would include many other events and galas in conjunction with the next Telethon which is now confirmed to take place on 12th<\/sup> December 2008!<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

The outcome of the Telethon is a giant step forward for Cudeca and will help to cover the costs of providing the ?special kind of care? to non-curable cancer patients within the province of M\u00e1laga. <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n
