{"id":15849,"date":"2008-05-04T17:06:20","date_gmt":"2008-05-04T17:06:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/actualidad\/las-brisas-golf-tournament-2\/"},"modified":"2008-05-04T17:06:20","modified_gmt":"2008-05-04T17:06:20","slug":"las-brisas-golf-tournament-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/actualidad\/las-brisas-golf-tournament-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Las Brisas Golf Tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"notCuerpo\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Royal Golf Club Las Brisas in Nueva Andalucia, held a charity event last Sunday 4th May in order to raise funds for Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice, <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">which this year focused on helping to<b> <\/b>save the in-patient unit.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">The opening of the In-Patient Unit in 2005 with an availability of 10 beds greatly increased the annual cost of the high quality care offered by the specialist medical team of Cudeca.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>The income from the Hospice Charity shops, donations, fundraising events, etc. has not been sufficient to meet the extra costs of this unit.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><b><span><\/span><\/b><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">If this situation continues Cudeca will have no alternative but to close the Unit.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>If this hard and unpalatable decision has to be taken, it will in no way effect the care of patients in the Home Care Programme and in the Day Care Centre.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>These important care areas of Cudeca will continue.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">The Tournament commenced at<span> 09.30 on the beautiful Las Brisas 18 hole course, <\/span>at the end of which<b><span> <\/span><\/b><span><span>\u00a0<\/span>players were invited onto the front green to participate in the putting competition.
