It will take place on Tuesday, April 25th<\/strong> at 8 pm at the Cervantes Theater<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Malaga, under the direction of Salvador V\u00e1zquez<\/strong> with solo performances by:<\/div>\n

The first half will be operatic and the second half will be the orchestra performing a selection of music by Beethoven and Mozart.

Ticket donation is 12 euros<\/strong> and can be purchased at the ticket offices of the Cervantes Theater or via the online platform www.teatrocervantes.com<\/a><\/strong>.
\u00a0
Total fundraising\u00a0from the concert will go to\u00a0our specialized care, which gives assistance, completely free of charge,\u00a0to\u00a0more than 1,300 people each year who are suffering from cancer\u00a0or other advanced diseases, which includes support to their families.<\/p>\n

Cudeca Hospice<\/strong><\/u>
Cudeca Hospice is a non-profit organization that offers specialized care to people with cancer and other illnesses in an advanced state with no possibility of cure, and support for their families.<\/p>\n

It follows the philosophy of palliative care, a field in which it has acquired\u00a0great experience and competence, and from which the “special way of caring” becomes reality. It not only treats the physical part of the disease, but also cares psychologically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. In short: it works to help patients feel dignified until the last moment.<\/p>\n

The activity of CUDECA began in 1992 thanks to the work and commitment of Joan Hunt. Born in England and settled on the Costa del Sol, after losing her husband due to cancer, she dedicated her life to helping others who are in the same situation. This is the reason that Joan Hunt founded Cudeca Hospice Care.<\/p>\n

Cudeca develops different and complementary Home Care Programmes through its multidisciplinary team: Home Care Programme, Out-Patient Clinic and In-Patient Unit, supported by the Psycho Social Care Programmes, Day Care Centre and Rehabilitation Programme; and Counselling. To complement and ensure continuous improvement of the work, it also has a Continuing Education, Teaching and Research Programme.
To reach objectives, Cudeca counts on multidisciplinary teams formed by doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists and qualified volunteers to care for our patients and support their families. Cudeca Hospice offers its specialized services, totally free of charge, to all those who in need.

Malaga Symphony Orchestra<\/strong><\/u>
Founded in 1945 by D. Pedro Gutierrez Lapuente and formed by musicians born or resident in Malaga, it is one of the oldest orchestras in Spain. Its main objectives are the dissemination of music and support for the creation of new artistic values.<\/div>\n
Coinciding with the 50th anniversary, the Diputacion decided to support in a committed and enthusiastic way the Malaga Symphony, becoming its main promoter. A stronger bond was established by the change of name to the Provincial Symphonic Orchestra of Malaga (OSPM), the assignment of a venue and rehearsal room in the Provincial Cultural Center and the creation of an Honor Committee with an advisory nature.<\/div>\n
The Symphony of Malaga has offered countless concerts in its history with the participation of renowned soloists such as Gaspar Cassad\u00f3, [[Henryk Szeryng], Jos\u00e9 Cubiles, Alfredo Kraus, Montserrat Caball\u00e9, Roc\u00edo Jurado, Vicente Amigo, David Dorantes or Manolo Sanl\u00facar and directors as Fr\u00fchbeck de Burgos, Michael Thomas, Miquel Ortega, Fernando Vel\u00e1zquez or Arturo D\u00edez Boscovich.<\/div>\n
Their activity has focused mainly on the classical repertoire, although their current artistic offer range is from symphonic flamenco artists such as Estrella Morente and pop singers such as Vanesa Mart\u00edn and Javier Ojeda to film music with Annual participation in the closing of the Fantastic Film Festival of Malaga. Currently, the Director of the Orchestra is Salvador V\u00e1zquez.<\/div>\n

Salvador V\u00e1zquez<\/strong><\/u><\/div>\n
Pianist, conductor and choir, he is currently the head conductor of the Malaga Symphony Orchestra, head conductor of the Malaga Opera Choir and assistant conductor of the Youth Orchestra of Extremadura.

He has recently been awarded the First Prize of the International Orchestra Conducting Competition in Cordoba and in December 2015 he was awarded the 'Ciudad de Malaga' Prize for best musical work.
\u00a0
He made his debut In the field of the conduction of an orchestra at the age of 13 years. He began to study in M\u00e1laga with Octav Calleya, concluding his studies of direction with the highest qualifications. Later he expanded his studies in choral direction with the maestro Carlos Aransay and lyrical studies with the teacher Miquel Ortega. He has received master classes from Jorma Panula, Lorenzo Ramos, Enrique Garc\u00eda Asensio and Bruno Aprea among others.

He has been an assistant director in the Academic Orchestra of the Barenboim Foundation – Said and has directed orchestras and formations such as JONDE (Young National Orchestra of Spain), OJSG (Young Orchestra of Galicia Symphony), Cordoba Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of M\u00e1laga, Coro and National Orchestra of Moldavia and Choir Ziryab of C\u00f3rdoba among others.

He has worked with teachers and soloists such as Seyoung Park, Mali Corbacho, Andres Salado, Pablo Gonzalez, Edmon Colomer, Pedro Halffter and Ruben Amoretti.

He is currently continuing his training with Maestro Miguel Romea in Madrid and among his closest projects are his participation in the 'Al Bustan' Festival in Beirut (Lebanon) as well as concerts with the M\u00e1laga Philharmonic Orchestra, Cordoba Orchestra, City Orchestra of Granada, Orchestra of Extremadura and Real Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica of Seville (ROSS).<\/div>\n

Berna Perles<\/a><\/strong><\/u><\/div>\n
Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de M\u00e1laga with Honorary Degree and Extraordinary End of Career Award. She holds a postgraduate degree at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and completed her training at the “Santa Cecilia” Opera Studio, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. She later expanded her studies in Vienna, with mezzo-soprano Glenys Linos, Elvira Hidalgo\u00b4s pupil. She has received master classes from Renata Scotto, Mirella Freni, Mariella Devia, Teresa Berganza, Monserrat Caball\u00e9, Isabel Rey and Carlos \u00c1lvarez.

She has been awarded prizes in many singing competitions (First Prize, “Young Artists' Show of M\u00e1laga”, First Prize, “Juventudes Musicales de Espa\u00f1a”, First Prize “Nuevas Voces Ciudad de Sevilla”, First Prize “Mozart International Competition of Granada” , “Third International Contest of Song of Logro\u00f1o”) and finalist in so many others (“International Competition of Song of Toulouse”, “Concorso Lirico Internazionale Umberto Giordano”, “International Contest of Singing Manuel Ausensi”, “International Competition of Singing Villa of Colmenar Viejo “,” Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino “). In 2016 she is given the recognition to the Best Musical Work of the Year in her home town.

Her professional career has led her to perform in opera and zarzuela productions as well as in lyric recitals, in theaters such as Teatro dell' opera (Rome), Santa Cecilia Auditorium (Rome), Konzerthaus (Vienna), Teatro Comunale The Theater of Garibaldi (Lucera), Royal Opera (Versailles), Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Capitole (Toulouse), Opera of Massy, \u200b\u200bLe pin galant (M\u00e9rignac), Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de S\u00e8te, Theater Avenue (Buenos Aires), Theaters of the The Maestranza (Seville), Palau de la Musica Catalana (Barcelona), Teatro Cervantes (M\u00e1laga), Teatro Principal (Zaragoza), Gran Teatro (C\u00f3rdoba) and Auditorio Manuel de Falla (Granada).

She has performed, among others, the roles of Erste dame and Pamina (Die Zauberfl\u00f6te), Contessa and Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro), Bastienne (Bastien und Bastienne), Donna Anna and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Gilda (Rigoletto) Anna Bolena (Anna Bolena), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Musetta and Mim\u00ec (La boh\u00e8me), Li\u00f9 (Turandot), Juliette (Rom\u00e9o et Juliette), Micaela (Carmen), Costanza (lL'isola disabitata).

In zarzuela, she has interpreted the roles of Ascent (the one of the bunch of roses), Carolina (Luisa Fernanda), Katiuska (Katiuska) and Marola (The tavern of the port).

In the field of symphonic and oratorio, she has performed The Messiah (Haendel), Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Requiem (Faur\u00e9), Requiem (Mozart), Requiem (Verdi), Elijah (Mendelssohn), Ninth Symphony (Beethoven) The Coronation (Mozart) and Carmina Burana (Orff).

She has participated in the recording of a CD of duets, next to the baritone Carlos Alvarez, under the seal DNRecords.<\/div>\n

Cristina Alba Padial<\/strong><\/a><\/u><\/div>\n
It is among the brightest Lied pianists in our country. Her performances are praised for her high communicative ability, beautiful sound and fine sensitivity.<\/div>\n

Formed as Piano Concert at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater in Rostock (Germany) in the chair of Professor Stephan Imorde, she made her solo debut in 2009 with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Lorenzo Ramos at the VII Spanish Music Festival of C\u00e1diz. She has played with the Andalusian Philharmonic Orchestra and Polnischer Kammerphilarmonie, among others. Her first and most important piano training is received by teachers Javier Herreros, Pilar Bilbao and Ana Guijarro, attending Masterclasses with Alicia de Larrocha and Daniel Barenboim among others.

She continued her specialization in Vocal Accompaniment with a Master's Degree in the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater in Hamburg with Professor Burkhard Kehring, a grant from the Yehudi Menuhin LMN Foundation, the Rottary Madrid-Vel\u00e1zquez club and the Community of Madrid. She also receives valuable advice from great Lied pianists such as Charles Spencer, Rudolf Jansen, Axel Bauni and Anne Le Bozec. Throughout her career she receives diverse Prizes in National and International Contests of Piano and of Lied.

Her passion for the vocal world led her to pursue a master's degree in Opera and Direction at the prestigious Musikhochschule in Hannover, with professors Paul Weigold (Vienna Staatsoper), Anne Champert (Deutsche Oper Berlin) and Martin Brau\u00df Director of the IFF, Institutes for young talent of Hannover). Thus in 2015 she won the Master's Seat of the Kiel Opera Repeater (Germany).
\u00a0
She has given recitals as soloist and liederist pianist in Concert Halls and Festivals in Germany, Switzerland and Spain, among them the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Pianale, or the International Piano Festival in Gij\u00f3n. She also performs at the XI Flamenco Festival in Jerez in 2008 and at the Seville Flamenco Biennial accompanying the dancer Lola Greco (National Dance Prize 2009) in the show “De la opera al flamenco”. She is an accompanying pianist in various singing competitions such as the International Mozart Opera Competition in Granada, Elise Meyer in Hamburg and the Maritim Musikpreis, where the singers she accompanies are awarded.

She has recorded live for RNE's Classical Radio and for the NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk), as well as a CD within the “M\u00e1laga Crea” project of the M\u00e1laga City Council. Interested in the music of her land, she promoted for the Instituto Cervantes in Hamburg the 1st Cycle of Young Spanish Music Interpreters, for which she has been offering a series of recitals of Concert Songs and Chamber Music by Spanish authors each year. She has a PhD by the University of M\u00e1laga.<\/div><\/div>\n
