Martin Robinson, from Canillas de Albaida, is undertaking a marathon swim to raise money for cancer charity Cudeca.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>On June 4th <\/strong>he will attempt to <strong>swim over 200 lengths of Competa pool.<\/strong> Last year Martin was diagnosed with bowel cancer and after a major operation and gruelling chemotherapy he wants to raise money for the charity.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00abCudeca has helped support me in so many ways, \u00abhe said.\u00bb The swim is just a small, personal way to thank everyone who has helped me.\u00bb<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00abI have always been so fit,\u00a0active and healthy. Therefore it was a huge shock to discover I had cancer, \u00abhe explained.\u00bb Volunteers and health professionals from Cudeca were always on hand to offer help and advice.\u00bb<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The charity event is taking place with the backing of Competa Town Hall. Officials have provided a lifeguard and are allowing the swimming pool to remain open in the afternoon for the sponsored swim.<\/p>\n<p>  <strong>Everyone is invited<\/strong> to cheer Martin on and sponsor him by signing the forms that will be circulated by a team of helpers.<\/p>\n<p>  Come along to Competa pool on Saturday 4th June from 10am onwards.
