Benalmádena, 14th May 2012
On the 24th May, Cudeca was delighted to receive the proceeds raised from the Paddle Marathon held on the 4th, 5th and 6th May at the La Reserva del Higuerón Club Sports in aid of Cudeca (50%) and in memory of Eva Ortega, a great fan of paddle, volunteer and friend of Cudeca since 1996, who sadly left us to cancer.
Thanks to Eva's friends, a fantastic total of € 2,261.50 was raised thanks to the charity raffle and baking contest. In addition, La Reserva del Higuerón Sports Club, represented by its head of marketing, Guillermo del Grosso, raised another 1,050€ thanks to the Paddle Marathon inscriptions.
These funds will help Cudeca continue Giving Life to Days to people with advanced and non-curable illnesses, while offering emotional, social and spiritual support to both the patient and their families throughout the province of Malaga .
The Cudeca Hospice is extremely grateful to the family and friends of Eva Ortega, La Reserva del Higueron Sports Club, and especially to:
Kelles and her volunteers; the supportive group of children, Mark, Aida, Paqui and Juanjo.
The sponsors of the raffle; the Musicians: Gea and Terrace Bar, the Boliches Brothers and Julia Mendez with her students from the Dance Academy SSwing.
We also thank the participants of the baking contest, and the proud winner, Bettin Días Maciel, who also won the paddle female category.
