Benalmádena, 30th June 2011
On the 28th June, to mark the International Day for the rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals, the association “Colega” Malaga held the XIII Annual Awards in the Unicaja salon in Malaga.
The objective of these awards is to give recognition to organizations, institutions or individuals who have excelled in their work and have respect for diversity within the province of Malaga. Three non-governmental organisations were rewarded for their social work and this year Cudeca was elected for its outstanding contribution to the local communities.
Present at the event was the Mayor of Málaga, D. Francisco de la Torre, the President of Diputación of Málaga, D. Elias Bendodo and President of Colega Málaga, D. Santiago Rubio. The Director of Nursing, Susan Hannam, and the Manager of Communications and Fundraising from Cudeca, Rocio Torres, were delighted to receive this award presented to them by the Mayor of Malaga.
Cudeca is very proud to receive this prestigious award and whole-heartedly appreciates the support given by the Association Colega. Together we can continue Giving Life to Days of people with advanced cancer and support to their families.
