The 2nd Charity Book Market organised by the Arroyo de la Miel Library was held on the 5th March to raise funds for Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice. Friends and volunteers gathered at the entrance to the Municial Library to hold this event and the Councillor for Culture for Benalmadena, José Nieto, was also present.

 

Everyone enjoyed a fun day full of culture and solidarity with the sale of books which reached the great total of 950€!

 

This supportive activity comes within the collaboration agreement signed in October 2010, with the objective of organising activities which raise awareness and help to gather funds to help with the Special Kind of Caring that Cudeca offers.

 

The funds which were raised thanks to the II Charity Book Market will be destined in full in caring for the more than 700 persons suffering from advanced cancer and their families, completely free of charge.

 

Everyone who so wishes can donate books throughout the year to the Arroyo de la Miel Municipal Library and also to Cudeca for these

Charity Book Markets.

 

The Cudeca Hospice greatly appreciates the friendship and active support given by the Arroyo de la Miel Library and also the Councillor for Culture.
