The situation of advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses is complex and affects all aspects of life at physical, psychological, social and spiritual levels.
In order to fulfil its objectives Cudeca has multidisciplinary teams consisting of doctors, nurses, social worker, psychologist, physiotherapist and qualified volunteers who attend to patients.
It is not only the patient that needs assistance. Palliative care recognises the vital role of families and carers, and their own needs. Support is provided throughout the illness and extended to the bereavement period.
Cudeca care programmes are characterised by their flexibility and continuous adjustments to attend these needs as they arise.
